146085 - Metrological Elementary Functional Geometries Identification Towards a Zero-Defect Manufacture
This article addresses the growing demand for efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes, emphasizing the significance of the "Zero Defects Manufacturing" concept. It highlights Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) as the standard method for dimensional inspection, underscoring its importance in ensuring product quality. Subsequently, the recognition of elementary geometries and their tolerancing is emphasized, including the identification of flat, spherical, cylindrical, and conical surfaces. The main focus of the work involves adapting partial derivatives to the equations of Gaussian and mean curvatures, highlighting their potential as tools for geometric shape recognition. The article concludes by presenting decision conditions for various elementary geometries, emphasizing their relevance in implementing an automatic recognition algorithm for these geometries.
